About Me
Born and raised in the Midwestern United States, I grew up with technology, starting to learn about the Apple IIe while entering grade school. Over the next 15 years or so, I dabbled with lots of odd technologies and different areas of tech. In 1999, I started with using Red Hat 5.2 on a college dormmates’ PC. That same year, I started using Linux full-time on my personal PC and have done so ever since.
Professionally, I spent lots of time in my early career in tech working with managed service providers and as a professional systems administrator, acting as “the guy” who could piece together odd solutions or make an obscure problem make sense. Since I have at least conversational knowledge in Linux, Windows, networking at multiple layers, and more recently the cloud. I am currently working as a cloud engineer at a global software firm, helping bring multiple hosted applications to our customers.
